"Having spent almost 20 years in the legal industry and working my way up, I soon acquired a new role as Marketing Co-Ordinator. I found I had a new motivation and skill set that seemed to expand quite naturally. My role involved creating and implementing a marketing plan, strategy, and budget. As well as running all social media accounts for the company - I also managed all third-party agencies, including SEO, PPC, and business development.
I was then headhunted by a local digital marketing agency, left my previous role and began freelancing for them on a regular basis. Having gained marketing experience in-house and for an agency means I have the skills that come from running various successful marketing campaigns for B2B and B2C clients, whilst always understanding the vital importance of the bottom line.
In addition to being CiLex Legal Executive qualified, I've also undertaken marketing education in recent years. When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, I decided to enrol in The Fundamentals of Digital Marketing course at The Open University to further develop my marketing skills and knowledge. This included modules ranging from Google Analytics to understanding customer behaviour - and is also Accredited by the Interactive Advertising Bureau.
